Checking in
Not much to say even though I have been busy. Have the first of the Christmas events tonight after a piano recital so I am trying to get ready for them. Wishing you a great weekend and Merry Christmas if I forget.
In knitting I ripped back too many rows to think about on the Shedir. I am not thrilled with her instructions and must have missed something because it wasn't working. It would be nice if the pattern tells you how many sts after a decrease round. What I thought I should have was not right. I will try to get back to where I was. I also had skipped a cross on the last repeat and decided to fix that instead of forget it. So I am furiously knitting on it and haven't even thought about the 2nd slipper to the pair I wanted to give my Bro tonight. I will see him 3 more times this week, so his can wait. I will not see the teacher after Tuesday, to give her the cap for her mom, so priorities must be changed.
Last night I made Reindeer cookies while my niece and nephew were here. I found out Choc. Chip mix doesn't make for good shapes, peanut butter are better, or sugar cookies as the recipe calls for. I just thought I would make Choc. Chips because we love them. Well, they look like acne riddled deers. Poor things. And they tend to be round instead of long faced, as the peanut ones look. The kids enjoyed putting on the M&Ms for the eyes and noses, but Rudolph ended up with blue noses and different colored eyes. Silly kids.
Now to get myself back on laundry duty so I have clothes to wear for the Cantata tomorrow. I am supposed to wear festive! Does that mean red, green, gold or black? Definitely black pants/skirt (eek! I have to shave those hairy legs) but who knows what on top.
Hopefully I will have a finished Chemo Cap to share sometime in the near future. Tomorrow I will have spinning 101, so maybe some unplied yarn to show too.
