FO!

Just so I wouldn't forget what it's like, I grabbed a quick knit project the other night. Elder had a double header, Younger was spending the night elsewhere, so I was free to sit and knit once the heat of the day passed by. I was fortunate to be gifted some luscious yarn handspun by my best spinning bud Kristi, not to be confused with my best knitting bud Suzi, my best used to work with bud Barbara, my best stash enhancement bud Lisa, and on and on. So I cast on with the lovely stripey goodness while watching the game.

Less than 24 hours later, I was able to soak this darling Moebius in the wool wash. I love it! Too bad I can't wear it until next Fall/Winter. The colors in this are hard to describe. Denim, rust, gold, oyster, pinkish something. They all come together to make a lovely skein. Thank you so much Kristi for this lovely yarn. I am waiting to run errands anytime you need!

But I must say, the next moebius will have some modifications. The edging wants to roll and I did not agree with her method of increases. She only has increases on 2 rows. This doesn't allow for a very bell like shape. And then the last increase sequence makes the edge a little wavy. I have already created a chart for my own use on the next one I make. Yes, I am making a next one. Just need to find the yarn I want to use. The back is just as lovely.

Tonight is knitting. I will be there with kids. Hubster is on his way back from Houston again. Hoping the storms in Houston don't delay him. All I know is, he better get in tonight because we have a major weekend ahead. I have a wedding rehearsal and wedding over the next 2 nights. Elder has a mission project, helping do odd jobs for those in need, over the next 3 days. Younger has a birthday party Sat, and Hubster will likely want to play golf as much as possible. Sunday looks to be calm for now. We will likely head over to Mom's and hang out at the pool. We hung out there yesterday with Erin and her daughter. We had loads of fun.

OK, seems like I am done. Icarus is ahead of the game, so I am taking a break while I whip out another neck thingie. This time I will use the Beech Wood pattern. I have some more handspun, different spinner, in lovely bright colors. Can't wait to see what it looks like.
