It was a very good show!

Saturday, 31 January 2009 9:10 P GMT-06
We had a wonderful family evening last night. We got a bite to eat at one of our favorite local places, Nick's. We like their 1/2 lb Angus Cheeseburgers! We actually split it, cause it's much too much for one. 1/2 basket of fried mushrooms an

Finishing

Thursday, 29 January 2009 11:40 A GMT-06
That's my issue right now. I have 4 things in current motion, don't ask about the gazillion other things in stalled motion. 1 item was finished Monday night and felted. The Fiber Trend Booties are finally out of my life! I hated these things

Snow/Ice Day

Tuesday, 27 January 2009 2:26 P GMT-06
Here in the land where they mean the same thing, school closures, it matters not which one hits. A few inches of it means the schools close up shop for the day. And, as usual, a two hour delay is all that was needed. How do I know? We were out in it

Hanging out

Sunday, 25 January 2009 10:41 P GMT-06
Today was just a hanging out day. Didn't accomplish anything! Watched a movie, surfed the web, did some puzzles, brushed the dog. At least I made dinner, so I guess I accomplished something. If I don't hurry, January will pass by without any

Tuesday, 20 January 2009 2:35 P GMT-06
I know, you just can't believe I actually have photos to share. Well I do. And one is not what you might think. So, without further stalling, here is progress on the Dale baby sweater.   I have 20 rows until I do the cuff chart and then

...........Water Dog. Anything but a doodle. To put the record straight: No, I do not have a dog like the ones the O's are going to have. And, no, I am not excited that they are getting a doodle. I couldn't care less what they are getting. I

Size 2 needles

Friday, 16 January 2009 11:44 A GMT-06
I wish I could say it's a joy. But the 2nd sleeve and the bands are just staring me in the face. Taunting me. Calling me a chicken. Leaving me no recourse but to try and avoid it even more. It's a good thing there are basketball games I am he

Hat's Off

Tuesday, 13 January 2009 9:38 A GMT-06
Well, actually, on and off. Finished the hat for Elder. She likes it, it fits, I am done! And good thing too. I was {  } close to running out of handspun from the small skein I was using. I so did not want to wind and use the larger skein. Here

[Photo Album] Happy Birthday to Me!

Friday, 9 January 2009 4:24 P GMT-06
What does this make? 48 I believe. 48 years of life and love. And each year just gets better. Although I think one year, about the age of 25, I was sure I was going to burn out! Too much partying that year. I wondered if I should have gotten a T-shir

I  celebrated an early birthday by hosting lunch for my knit buds. We had 3 birthday's to share gifts for. So we were opening gifts all morning! You can see my share above. Not pictured are the gift certificates to Starbucks and a favored lo

Actually, I haven't been knitting

Monday, 5 January 2009 11:46 A GMT-06
I did a bit on Friday, but not much. And then I haven't picked up the needles once! The weekend wasn't that busy, just didn't present any sit and knit desire when I was still. I holed up in my comfy, warm, bed most nights doing puzzles. M

Really, I have been knitting

Friday, 2 January 2009 2:34 P GMT-06
Just not getting anything done. I am halfway through all the current projects. Now to get them to 100%! the booties will be done in no time, the baby sweater is actually further than 50%, but no way will it get done for the shower tomorrow. I will wr

It's A New Year

Thursday, 1 January 2009 12:49 P GMT-06
So, how did I spend it? Viewing bodies of dead people! It was cool, but creepy too. Layers of flesh and dermis peeled back to show muscles, blood vessels, organs, cartilage, the whole shebang! Stuff I never want to see up close and personal again! Hu
