Not under my eyes! Well, OK< yes I do have them under my eyes. But I also have little bags on the mind. And not just any little bags, Madeleine Bags! Remember that I called up to Threadbear on Sunday to catch my friends who were there. Rob got one of them to bring home the pattern and a skein of Cascade 220 in fuchsia. Miss D. dropped them off yesterday, so now I am eager to get at it! This will be for a little one in our extended family, little not in age but very petiteness. She is a brainiac pre-schooler who could probably test out to 2nd grade! One Sunday I delivered a hat to her head and she promptly took it off. I put it back on her head and explained it was for her. "I don't want it!" was the reply. Her grandmother tried desperately to get her to accept it with good grace, nothing doing! So I shrugged and delivered it to S.'s cousin. She took it!
Then a few Sundays ago I was folding a sweater and hanging it on my arm when S asked, "Who's that for?", she's used to me always bearing knit gifts. I explained it was younger's sweater I had made for her. She was very interested in it. I asked, "S. do you want me to make you a sweater?" and she promptly replied, "Yes!". She is also very interested in every knit purse I make, has to check it out. So after seeing her this Sunday and realizing that the Madeleine is perfect for her size and would suit her desires I called quick to get my fix! Now to figure out if I have a ballerina style sweater that is in her size and find my ballerina slipper pattern. She'll be shod from head to toe! Well, maybe not head, that hat issue ya' know.
In actual knitting news I finished Baby Dale last night. I had issues with the crochet edging, wasn't sure how many knit sts to pick up for crochet. Finally I looked real close at the finished item in the book and then it was easy. Well, as easy as it can be when using a size D hook and keep from splitting the yarn! they actually suggested a B hook, which I did not have and wasn't going to go buy. Now I have to face crochet edgings on 2 sleeves, 1 neck and the entire bottom edge of the cardigan! Can you say, Yuck!
Today will bring some cozy curl up by the non-exisitent fire and knit weather. And I have Wadi Knitting tonight with friends. What could be better? Maybe an actual fire! And room service, oh and maid service too. Well, you see this could quickly get out of hand so I will stop here! Have a good one.
