What a beautiful view out side my window.

I see blue sea, blue dusk sky and birds flying. More important, I can hear the gentle surf hitting the beach. Elder got a taste of the strong surf pounding her into the ocean bed this morning as she was body surfing. Not so gentle when it's bowling you over. Ah, vacation.

Today it was time to break out the boogie boards; foam, half-sized surf board type devices. The girls love to ride the waves on them, even if they really aren't that adept at catching the wave when it crests. Younger got dumped one time, but she got right back on. Elder caught a really long ride on one. Maybe tomorrow I will actually get to use a board. Tonight we finally got Elder just what she has been wanting for years. A skimboard. No it's not a low-fat board! It is a waxed, wood board that you throw on the shallow surf, then jump on it and ride it until it dumps you or it stops moving. I expect she will be dumped quite often until she gets the hang of it. Maybe I should take band-aids with me?

I got a good bit of sun today. It was almost too hot to stay out. But I stuck it out. Us tough women gotta do what we gotta do! All the wet hair and ocean breeze have proven the need for a perm though. Us tough women gotta perm when we gotta perm! But, you have naturally curly hair, you say. True, but it isn't the tame kind! It's the kind that kinks "every which wave but loose".

Well, if you ever get to Daytona Beach, New Smyrna or anywhere close, do check out the Inlet Harbor. We ate there tonight and they have a wonderful Parmesan Encrusted Orange Roughy that was soooo good! Served with Alfredo Linguine and Hush Puppies, yum-yum. Brought half of it home for lunch tomorrow. I find I can't eat an entire meal out, so I always cut it in half and bring the rest.

OK, is it boring enough for you? I did do some knitting this morning. About 9 more rows on my Summer project. Sorry no pictures to show. And then 2 rows on Devan as we were waiting for dinner. Other than that I am a no show on the knitting front. But, I did tell hubby to bring my USB cord so I can upload pictures. Of course, I would need to have pictures to upload. Maybe I will get on that tomorrow. There will definitely be pictures taken of some wipe-outs in the near future, and maybe some WIPs. Stay tuned to see just who it is wiping-out!
